Performance Physical Therapists

 
Christopher DiPasquale, PhD, PT, OCS, SCS, CHT, COMT

Chris graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. In 1998, he earned a Master of Science in Allied Health and, in 2007, a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut. He is specialty board certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.  Chris is also a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT).  

 

Chris supervises our Hebron office and is the Administrator of our Medicare Rehabilitation Agency.  He also supervises our Sports Medicine Program and is certified in concussion rehabilitation by ImPACT Applications as an ImPACT Trained PT.  

At Deer Park High School in New York, Chris played varsity football, lacrosse, wrestling and club hockey. At Quinnipiac University, he was a member of the hockey team his freshman year then left the team for residential life staff positions to pay for school. After Quinnipiac, Chris rode for a competitive club cycling team and competed in run-bike-run biathlons.  He was a founder of the local Colchester and Hebron-based youth lacrosse programs. He is a former high school soccer referee and a currently active as high school and college lacrosse referee.

Physical therapist james ferland
James A. Ferland, PT

A 1989 graduate of the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Physical Therapy, Mr. Ferland has an extensive background in neurology, orthotics and prosthetics, general rehabilitation as well as orthopedics. Mr. Ferland is trained in vestibular rehabilitation and is our specialist in the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV.  He is also trained in concussion rehabilitation by ImPACT Applications.

 

He brings extensive supervisory experience to the practice including his role in the outpatient physical therapy department at Gaylord Hospital. He supervises operations at our Colchester office and also serves as the Associate Administrator for our Medicare Rehabilitation Agency.

 

He served as an adjunct professor at the University of Hartford and is currently our coordinator of clinical education working with physical therapy students during their clinical internships.

 

At St. Thomas Aquinas high school, he was a member of the varsity basketball team all 4 years including two state championships. He was also a member of the cross country team. After high school. he competed in marathons and continues to stay active cycling.

Mark R. Skinner, DPT, MTC, CEAS

A 2000 Master of Science graduate of the University of Connecticut Physical Therapy Program, Dr. Skinner completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine in 2007. He has a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from the University of St. Augustine and is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) by the Back School of Atlanta.

 

Dr. Skinner has an extensive background in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He practiced full time with PPTSM from 2000 through 2003 where he had primary responsibility for the Hebron office and affiliated student athlete programs. He currently practices part time in our organization while also supervising and practicing full time in an occupational health physical therapy service.

 

At East Hampton, high school Mark played varsity soccer, basketball and baseball. He is now active coaching his children in youth soccer.

Zuzana Kudernatschova, DPT, COMT

Dr. Zuzana Kudernatschova completed graduate school at the University of Hartford where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  She also earned a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Hartford.  Zuzana is also trained in concussion rehabilitation by ImPACT Applications.  In addition she is Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT).

As an undergraduate at the University of Hartford Zuzana was a pitcher on the NCAA Division I Softball Team.  Zuzana is a native of the Czech Republic where she was a member of the  Junior National Softball team.  Her interest in physical therapy started during her successful treatment of softball injuries with physical therapy. 

 

Zuzana was drawn to the active group of people our practice serves with an approach emphasizing manual therapy and exercise.  Her experience as an athlete and physical therapy patient combined with her manual therapy background maker her a welcome addition to our practice.  Dr. Kudernatschova is based in our Hebron office and is currently on an extended sabbatical with her young family.   

Kayla Hall, DPT

Dr. Hall is a 2011graduate of the Springfield College Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  After graduation Dr. Hall practiced at both our Colchester and Hebron offices through 2014.  She went on to practice in another private practice as well as a large regional orthopedic surgery group.    

Dr. Hall will see patients in our Colchester office.  She focuses her practice on orthopedics, sports medicine, and dry needling.  

Kayla grew up playing soccer.  She was an all state soccer player at Lyman Memorial High school and went on to play NCAA Collegiate soccer at Manhattan College and Springfield College.

Zachary Turini, BS, PTA

Zach is a 2018 graduate of the NEIT where he obtained an Associates in Science in the Physical Therapist assistant program.  He is also a 2013 graduated of ECSU with a Bachelor of Science in Exercises Science & Sports Physiology.  Prior to joining us Zach practiced in an orthopedic private practice in northeastern Connecticut and a Covid-19 recovery skilled nursing facility.

 

Zach is a 2009 graduate of Woodstock Academy where he was a member of the lacrosse team.  After graduating from ECSU he returned to the Woodstock Academy as a lacrosse coach.  He now spends his free time fishing, downhill skiing, and exploring every sport possible.

Zach will be seeing patients in our Colchester office, primarily team treating with Jim Ferland.

Eric Mola, BS, PTA

Eric completed as Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Sacred Heart University in 1999 and entered the business world.  Eric elected to purse his interest in physical therapy and returned to school in 2012 and received his Associates in Science Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Naugatuck Valley Community College.  Eric has diverse physical therapy experience helping people recover in both outpatient offices, and sub-acute inpatient settings.  Eric will be team treating patients with our physical therapists in the Hebron office.

 

Outside of work Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys.  He keeps active golfing, hiking, and camping.

Jeremy Mitchell, DPT

Jeremy completed his Bachelors degree in Health Science with a minor in Biology in 2018 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021 at the University of Hartford.  While at the University of Hartford Jeremy was active with research examining the treatment of individuals with shoulder injury.  

Dr. Mitchell currently practices full time in the Hebron office.  He also sees patient as a per diem therapist Manchester Memorial Hospital.  

Jeremy is a Native of Columbia, Connecticut and is an active runner and mountain bike rider.  He also helps out with his family painting and contracting business.  

Rebecca Sheehan, DPT

Dr. Sheehan attended Misericordia University in Dallas, PA where she received a BS in Health Sciences degree in 2008, a MS in Physical Therapy degree in 2008, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012.  Since training she brings extensive experience from her prior practice treating individuals in the acute care hospital, short-term rehab hospital, skilled nursing facility, home care, outpatient rehabilitation, and orthopedic private practice.

Rebecca has been credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students.  She also has additional training and advance experience in aquatic, women’s health, and the treatment of amputees.  She has been an active volunteer with the Franciscan Life Center, Gaylord Sports Association, Wounded Warrior Project, Relay for Life, American Heart Walk, and international service to Guyana and Haiti. 

Dr Sheehan will be seeing patients in our Colchester office.

Samantha Huebner, DPT

Dr. Huebner earned a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island in 2012 and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in 2015.

 

Her initial practice in a Women’s Health clinic focused on treating people after breast cancer surgery and those affected by lymphedema.  She also has advanced training in corrective exercise during pregnancy and post-partum periods, as well as the treatment of women with pelvic floor disorders.  In addition, she has completed training in IASTM – Graston technique, and as a Pilates Instructor incorporates Pilates based exercises into treatment. 

Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two golden retrievers.  She grew up as an equestrian, participated in triathlons, and now stays active cycling, strength training, and as a Certified Pilates Instructor. 

Dr. Huebner will be seeing patients primarily in our Hebron office. 

Brittany Mordarski, DPT, OCS

Dr. Mordarski graduated in 2013 from Springfield College's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics since. In June of 2017 she became a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy, awarded from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and she is also an APTA certified clinical instructor 

 

Her clinical interests involve working with all orthopedic and sports related injuries, particularly knees and shoulders, including post-surgical cases. She also joins the PPTSM staff with experience in vestibular dysfunction including BPPV and vertigo treatment. neurologic disorders including Parkinson’s, MS, ALS and gait/balance training, women’s health therapy including pelvic floor strengthening during and after pregnancy, current certification in the Graston Technique for management and treatment of soft tissue dysfunction.

Brittany was a level 9 Junior Olympic gymnast in high school, as well as an equestrian, and she competed in both track & field and equestrian on the collegiate level. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young sons, watching football, camping, hiking and reading.
